Volunteers

Volunteering at a Rugged Maniac is a great way to spend the day outside meeting new people and being a part of the action! You'll get a limited edition Rugged Maniac volunteer t-shirt and free entry into a future Rugged Maniac (which you can use the same day that you volunteer)! To register as a volunteer simply click "Register Now" on the race's information page and fill out the form. You must be at least 16 years old to volunteer. Please do not sign up to volunteer unless you are certain you can make it to the race!

You have the option of helping out in the morning (8am - 1pm) or the afternoon (12:30pm - 5pm). Those volunteers who work the morning shift have the option of using their free entry to run in an afternoon wave (1:30 - 4) at the race. To do so, simply let us know after you finish your shift and we'll get you into the wave of your choice. Afternoon volunteers can run in a morning wave (8:45am - 11am) by simply showing up at 8am and paying the registration fee in cash ($98). We'll give the cash back immediately after you finish your afternoon volunteer shift. 

Only 40 volunteer spots are available for each shift so don't wait too long to commit. Once you arrive at the race, we'll assign you a position in the Check-In Tent, at the start/finish line or on the actual course!
