OUR TIMING SYSTEM / HOW TO GET TIMED
Our timing system is pretty high-tech. We'll assign you a RFID timing chip that you'll attach securely to your shoe. Our computers will then record what time you cross the start and finish lines. Timing chips must be attached to the runner's shoes to ensure times are accurately recorded.
Starting in 2014, we will hold an awards ceremony at 1:00 pm to recognize our winners at the race. To be eligible to win, you MUST run at a wave that starts between 9:00 am and 10:00 am, and pay to be officially timed. All awards will be presented at the race, and you must be present to receive your prizes! Please email email@example.com for more information.
If you're in it to win it or you want your name, age and finish time to be preserved for eternity in the official results list, then select the timing option during registration and you'll get your very own electronic timing chip (yours to keep!) that'll record your time as you cross the finish line. But don't worry, you don't have to be officially timed to know your finish time. We'll have a large digital clock at the finish line that'll be displaying the hour, minute and second as you cross.
The current timing chip design (front and back) is below:
Preliminary results from each event are available online the night of the event. Official results, as well as a list of winners, are posted in the week following the race. Links for all race results, past and present, are below.
If your time is missing or incorrect, please email firstname.lastname@example.org with the subject line "TIMING ISSUE" and include as much of the following information as possible:
BIB / CHIP NUMBER
RACE DATE / LOCATION
PEOPLE WHO FINISHED BEFORE / AFTER YOU
We will review your email and put in every effort possible to locate your correct time. In most cases, we are able to figure out your time based on those who finished around you.
Results from our 2014 events will be listed here once races are completed.
If you have any other questions regarding timing, simply email email@example.com.
