Rugged Maniac Track
This track is, in of itself, one endless rugged obstacle from hell! You will run up and down hills, through whoop sections, around steep banking turns and through tunnels. And, as if that wasn’t enough, we amped it up with burley obstacles. It is difficult to decide whether we should call this monster one obstacle or fifty!
Bounding Maniac
Leap from island to island to avoid falling in the cold and muddy water. Hit these things at full speed to stand a chance of making it the entire way across!
Rugged Mud
Crawl under wire through mud! Exhausting, messy, and a little nuts. Stay low - the barbed wire is real!!!
Tire Jungle
Run over them, under them and through them. Piles of tires and tires hanging from above … you are going to get knocked around a bit!
Over Under Barriers
Over and under, over and under, again and again, until you think you will collapse.
Pipe Nightmare
Over, under and through a maze of pipes... don't trip or hit your head.
Terrible Scramble
Steep and muddy terrain will test your resolve.
Maniac Barricades
Barricades ranging from 4 to 12 feet will wear you down... if you can get over them. Look to fellow maniacs for assistance, if necessary.
Mystery Obstacle
There are always more obstacles on the course than featured on the prospective map ... wait until you see what we have in store for you!
Crawling Tunnels
Crawl on your belly through damp and dark tunnels full of mud and water.
Balancing Maniac
Over water and mud on thin planks. Don’t fall in! Move quickly to not get bounced!
Cargo Climb
Climbing a cargo net is significantly harder than it looks, but getting down is the real surprise.
Suicide Slide
Perched at the top of this beast you will surely be thinking "I must be crazy!"
Prometheus Leap
Jump over fire, feel like a God!
Maniac Barricades
Barricades ranging from 4 to 12 feet will wear you down... if you can get over them. Look to fellow maniacs for assistance, if necessary.
Drown Rat Maniac
Floating barriers will force you under cold and muddy water time after time before you climb by rope from the water pit.
Rugged Rope Ascent
Impassible terrain made possible by knotted rope.
Rugged Mud

Bands
Rugged Maniac is coming to the DC Metro area for the first time ever with over 20 epic obstacles designed to push you to your limits! You'll face mud pits, fire, tubes, 16' walls, swinging pendulums a 60' water slide and some surprises that'll make this one wild and rugged day of fun! Each runner gets a high-quality Rugged Maniac t-shirt, free professional race photos, a beer (if over 21) and access to the festival, which includes a mechanical bull, adult bounce houses and live music! Beer will be flowing from our friends at Harpoon Brewery so be sure to grab one while you listen to some of the area's coolest bands! This event WILL sell out so grab your friends and register now!
