Forest Run
Sure, the course is off-roading, but there you won’t be forced to duck branches and jump rocks and roots like you will in the Forest Run.
Pipe Nightmare
A maze of pipes to trip you up.

Cargo Climb
Climbing a cargo net is significantly harder than it looks, but getting down is the real surprise!
Rugged Maniac is returning to Brooklyn and this year there will be plenty of MUD! We're also building bigger and badder obstacles that'll push your limits even further than last year's course did. You'll face mud pits, tubes, barricades, cargo nets, scrambles, swinging pendulums and some new surprises that'll make this one wild and rugged day of fun! After you've conquered the course, don your new, high-quality tri-blend cotton Rugged Maniac t-shirt and celebrate your ruggedness with thousands of other like-minded maniacs in our rockin' after-party! Beer will be flowing from our friends at Harpoon Brewery so be sure to grab one while you listen to some of Brooklyn's coolest bands!
TRANSPORTATION: Don't worry if you don't have a car! We'll have free shuttles (in the form of school buses) running from the Flatbush Ave - Brooklyn College 2/5 stop to the race. There will be a Rugged Maniac staff member coordinating the shuttles, which will be running continuously from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. If you are utilizing the shuttle, please aim arrive at the Brooklyn College stop at least 2 hours before you are scheduled to run.
POLICE V. FIREFIGHTER CHALLENGE: The 2:30 wave will feature a battle of the Finest vs the Bravest. We invite Police Officers and Firefighters from all departments to form teams of four to compete in this challenge. Team times will be based a team's slowest member - Leave No Man Behind! Firefighter teams will wear red jerseys and Police Teams will wear blue jerseys, so there will be no mistaking which deparment is the Most Rugged!
POLICE UNITY TOUR CHAPTER 37: For the second year in a row, this event benefits Police Unity Tour, Chapter 37, which raises awareness of law enforcement officers who have died in the line of duty and funds for the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Museum. Chapter 37 is named in memory of the 37 Port Authority Police Officers who lost their lives in the 9/11 attacks. For more information visit www.policeunitytour37.com.
